Acer Liquid Phone

The Acer Liquid smartphone was announced today by the Taiwanese techonology company most notably known for making laptops and netbooks. The Acer Liquid phone will be backed with technology. First it will feature the powerful Snapdragon chipset that gives it a 1GHZ speed.

Acer's Liquid Android phone will also come packed with a 800 x 480 WVGA screen that hasn't ever been seen before on a communication device. The Acer LIquid will use the Android operating system created by Google. The version that will be use is 1.6 or also known as Donut.

This highly powerfuly phone doesn't stop at an amazing screen and powerful chipset, it also comes with a high end camera that should have ISO levels as well as the ability to record your location when the picture is taken using the built-in GPRS, a highly cool feature that will make your Flickr collection all that more impressive.

What more, it's also interesting to note that you your contact address book will be able to integrate with your online profiles, this includes Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and a host of other social media sites.

Acer's Splintes app will let you stream video and audio for free, and while it might not compete with something like iTunes, its still a handy feature to have. If we're to compare the Acer Liquid to the iPhone 3GS or the G1 and G2 phones and the other latest phones by HTC - it would seem that Acer Liquid would be the best phone on the market today.

Of course alot remains to be seen and with a Acer Liquid release date not announced yet, it is hard to really know when we can play around with this bad boy. The Acer Liquid price also wasn't disclosed yet, but hopefully it will remain cheap as Acer did with the EePc Netbook.

Will the Acer Liquid be the iPhone killer I don't know, but at least it's better than this Chrome OS Acer Netbook.
